Gp mental health diagnosed disorders ?
I was told i have BDD by 3 specialists One in a psyc in unit for under 18’s, another in an out patients unit and by a doctor at the zone.
I think this may be in my records but Anxiety and depression are all my medical notes have said ?
The bdd causes extreme social anxiety and major depression. How do you get assesed ? to have this put on your medical condition.
i had cbt and theray various times and im on paroxetine its jusr for piece of mind as wear a hood due to the bdd and if it was on my notes people would be more informed is all. plus i don’t just suffer with a bit of anxiety and depression its more deeper than that.
a gp (general practitioner) did not diagnose you. specialists did. unless you mean something else entirely by GP.
now, BDD: are you talking about body dysmorphic disorder?
and most importantly: why are you SO ADAMENTLY attached to a Dx? the Dx (diagnosis) is used SOLELY as a tool by professionals. it is a reference point. it is not meant for you, the patient/client, to define yourself; as in: “…I am _________ (insert dx here)”
what is the help you are really looking for? as a psychotherapist, it sounds to me like you may be in serious denial of your situation and that you don’t want to look at your “stuff/issues”
find a talk therapist locally and start going to therapy EVERY week for a minimum 6 months. then check back with us and tell us how you are doing.
you may contact me for further help.

The HeartMath Solution: The Institute of HeartMath’s Revolutionary Program for Engaging the Power of the Heart’s Intelligence $8.48 The HeartMath Solution may easily be written off as a book too eccentric for widespread public consumption, and that’s unfortunate. The title’s a bit misleading–it’s not about cardiac care and it’s not about calculus, but rather how 30 years of research have shown that the heart’s “intelligence” affects emotions and physical health–especially when it comes to handling stress–and specifica… |
