Health insurance question, helping out my mom, can you help explain?
My mom, has united health care insurance. I’m not sure what plan they have but its probably basic. Anyway my question pertains to the coverage. Mom’s insurance company stop covering because she has chronic pain and visits a health care provider frequently. The health insurance company stop covering her, the reason they state was because she kept going. Is it possible for them to that. What are the possible reasons that they can do that. They refuse to cover some of the doctor bills from the past. She usually goes in for a chronic pain in foot and bones. Nothing cosmetic.
Well, anyone other than the insurance carrier can’t tell you for sure if they can stop paying. You should read into the contract. Also, if your Mom is going for chronic pain and the doc. isn’t fixing the problem perhaps she needs a second opinion. Maybe a new doctor would see something the first didn’t and then she wouldn’t need to continue to go to the doctor. Hope she feels better!
